TYPES OF PSYCHOTHERAPY LORIJEN CENTRE OFFERS
Nowadays, coming in for psychotherapy once a week is a lifestyle – taking basic care of oneself and one’s mental health.
Individual psychotherapy is fully tailored to the needs of the client. The approach and frequency of psychotherapy sessions are selected based on the client’s wishes, expectations, personality type, and time limitations.
Psychotherapy is a process, and the expected change takes time. Some clients achieve the desired results in no more than 2-3 months, while others come in for years.
In some cases, group psychotherapy yields faster and better results than individual psychotherapy. Groups have up to 12 members, and group sessions are held once per week at the same time and place (or via Zoom). For the results to be visible, it is necessary to come in regularly over a period of no less than 6 months.
Group psychotherapy is your new place of regular psychological support. It is led by an experienced licensed group psychotherapist. A carefully selected group of people facing similar challenges supports you on your path of personal development by providing authentic comments and opinions, seeing the situation you’re in in a different light, and developing sincere interpersonal relations. Members of your group are full of understanding and without prejudice or judgment, resembling a second family. Once you become a member of a group, it becomes “your group”.
Family psychotherapy is a psychotherapeutic approach geared towards changing the interactions of a married couple, primary, or extended family, as well as other significant persons, with the aim of resolving psychological and psychiatric problems affecting the functioning of a family and its members.
Change in a single family member affects the other members, resulting in this way in changs in the entire family system.
The expected outcome is improved relations with the other family members, better and more open communication, and stronger ties among the family members.
Specific coaching sessions act like psychotherapy for business problems.
The aim of psychodynamic coaching sessions is ensuring that the client sees a specific behavioural pattern in the workplace or in their studies which contributes to self-sabotaging behaviour, and identifies and applies the techniques that will help them achieve the desired business results.
The psychodynamic approach to professional coaching helps the changes taking place during sessions persist in the long run.
Many LORIJEN Center clients are healthy persons who need support when they are faced with a difficulty weighing on their mind or they simply wish to discover their potential and so contribute to their personal growth and development.
One in four people feels helpless dealing with psychological challenges and problems at one point in their life.
What makes a difference is only whether we want to resolve our problems efficiently using professional help.
FAQ
Whether it is group-, family-, or individual-based, psychotherapy is like a wholesome conversation. It isn’t like a chat with a friend – psychotherapy sessions have clear rules, developed in such a way as to ensure that they too have a therapeutic effect.
Psychotherapy sessions have a clear and desired outcome, which is defined jointly by the client and the therapist. The client has an active role.
Psychotherapy takes place in different environments: individually, with family members, or in a group… The LORIJEN Centre offers individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, and family therapy. For more information, please contact us at help@lorijen.center or +381 69 3088 090 or +381 69 3088 091.
Here at LORIJEN, we approach psychotherapy seriously, always listening for the needs of our clients. Our experts have over 30 years of experience working within different types of therapy: psychoanalytic, RECBT, group analysis, family psychotherapy, and more.
Accordingly, during your first appointment you will agree with your therapist the kind of psychotherapy that will suit you the most. You will define the objectives, share your expectations, decide on session frequency, etc.
At LORIJEN Centre, conversations with your chosen expert (licensed psychotherapist) take place in specific time intervals. These sessions last 50 minutes and, importantly, are always confidential.
As regards the length of the overall psychotherapy process, you agree it with your psychotherapist during the first conversation. Roughly, the number of sessions depends on whether in psychotherapy we focus on resolving problems that have lasted for longer of shorter periods of time, what topics will be addressed, and what the expected goal is.
Another important factor is motivation – readiness for change.
Psychotherapy allows us to handle our emotions better. It brings about positive changes in our brains and bodies, as demonstrated in numerous studies.
